Privacy policy
The short version: Simple Meme does not collect, store, transmit, or see your photos. Period. The longer version is below.
What data we collect
Simple Meme does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no signups, no email collection, no analytics on the photo flow. We do not know who you are, what photos you upload, or what captions you write.
Local processing
All image processing happens in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your photo is read into memory, composited with your captions, and saved as a download — all locally. The image bytes are never transmitted to any server, including ours. You can verify this in the browser DevTools Network tab.
Advertising (AdSense)
The page displays ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and may collect data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ad Settings. AdSense does not see your photo or your captions — the photo canvas is in our own DOM, not inside the ad iframe.
Cookies and local storage
The only thing Simple Meme stores in your browser is your language preference (English, Portuguese or Spanish) in localStorage. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts beyond the AdSense ad tag.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change anything material about how your data is handled, we will update this page and the change date below. The fundamental promise — no upload, no storage, no seeing your photos — will not change without very good reason.
