About Simple Meme
A meme generator built around a simple idea: making a meme should not require giving a stranger your photo.
The mission
Most online meme tools upload your photo to a remote server, process it there, watermark the result, and ask you to sign up before you can download it. That is a strange amount of friction for a tool that should be one step: add text, save image.
Simple Meme is the opposite of that. The whole pipeline runs in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Drop a photo, type a top caption and a bottom caption, click download. Done in under ten seconds. No server, no upload, no account, no watermark, no daily limit.
What it does
- 1:1 square format — the universal meme aspect ratio. Works on WhatsApp, Instagram, X, iMessage, Reddit, Discord.
- Classic Impact captions — white text with black outline, the look that has defined memes since 2007.
- PNG output at up to 1080×1080 — lossless, ready to post anywhere without re-encoding.
- Drag & drop, paste, or file picker — three ways to bring a photo in. Including pasting straight from your clipboard.
- Adjustable font size — slider from small to huge captions depending on how loud you want the meme.
- Multilíngue: interface in English, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish.
